Rachid Taha

VP of Engineering

Dr. Rachid Taha is VP of Engineering for Thiozen and a subject matter expert in the synthesis of hydrogen and chemicals from renewable resources, the hydrotreatment of crude oil, and the preparation and testing of catalysts. He has more than 20 years of experience in developing, conducting, and successfully leading projects from lab scale to commercialization. Dr. Taha worked as the Research Leader at Battelle for 7 years and as the Senior Manufacturing Scientist at Velocys for 8 years. He holds several patents, publications, and awards related to the development and scaling up of new technologies for sustainable resources. He holds a BS in Chemistry from University Hassan II, as well as an MS in Applied Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Universite de Poitiers.
