Jim Chu

Technology Director

Dr. Jim Chu is the Technology Director of Thiozen, specializing in developing green chemical and refining processes. Prior to joining Thiozen, Jim spent years in the R&D center at Lummus Technology. His experience includes the design and optimization of pilot/demonstration units, leading green energy projects for commercialization in collaboration with business teams and clients, and evaluating technologies to identify new business prospects. Jim earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT, focusing on kinetics and process modeling and the construction of experimental units. Before MIT, he received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
